YOUTH REGATTA

In early August of each year the Atlantic Division in cooperation with the Palisades Interstate Park Commission and the Harriman Park Camp Directors Association, has sponsored a youth canoe regatta. As many as three thousand youngsters from the many resident and day camps located in Harriman Park display their canoeing skills with the coveted Mc McManus trophy being held by the winning camp until next year when it is again time to defend their title. Volunteers from the Division generally gather at our camp for a cookout and swim at the end of the day.
